Necromaniac:

Horns up Shyaithan and welcome to the NECROMANIAC! Honestly said, I am proud as fuck to finally support you guys again! You mailed me that you guys are around in Thailand and Indonesia these days. Hope the tour is running well? Where have you played so far? How is the situation over there after that terrible flood? Hope all your friends and warbrothers are still alive?

Impiety:

Warcrushing Hails Thomas!! It’s my pleasure to do this interview with you and the ineffable NECROMANIAC! All in all the Asian tour went really well. Despite the Tsunami and chaos in Indonesia we had 1300 maniacs turn up for the gig we played in Jakarta, Indonesia. We toured countries like Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. All our comrades and warbrothers survived the Tsunami, but did not survive the violent stage holocaust by IMPIETY! (haha)

Necromaniac:

A while ago you released your fourth full length “Paramont Evil” which once again is a true tribute to total Black/Death Metal! You are from Singapore, Antimo (ex. DISGORGE and RAVAGER), Eduardo and Oscar are from Mexico. How did you establish contact with Antimo and when did you realise that you have to continue IMPIETY with some Mexican guys? What happened to your old band comrades?

Impiety:

I had been in contact with Oscar and Antimo since 2000 and we’ve maintained close contact over the years supporting each others regiment! I am a really big fan of RAVAGER and likewise, they are deranged fanatics of IMPIETY. Late 2003 I faced problems with the old line-up and it seemed like I reached a dead end to pursue the band further. Fyraun had full time commitments to work and family and could not continue playing. Fauzzt on the other hand lost interest in IMPIETY and wanted to play something less extreme. When Fyraun and Fauzzt left the band I auditioned quite a number of potential demons throughout South East Asia, but it all seemed unsuccessful. I had to look outside Asia ... that seemed the only possible thing to do! Without hesitation, I proposed the idea to Antimo and Oscar of joining IMPIETY fulltime. Of course they were really surprised at first, but also excited about it. We discussed every little detail and finally saw it all as one big possibility. February 2004 was my first trip to Mexico to rehearse and record the Two Majesties Split EP. I must say things fell into place really well when I first came to Mexico and things began moving swiftly and smoothly!

Necromaniac:

The album was also recorded in Mexico within seven days only! Including mixing and mastering? Respect! Did you move over to Mexico or is this satanic relationship only supposed to last for a while? In which language do you guys communicate? Did you learn Spanish?

Impiety:

Yes, it was one take most of the time for all instruments and it surprised me too that it took 7 days to finish the entire production. A diabolical achievement for sure! This formation is permanent and not something temporary. For rehearsals I usually have to fly to Mexico and I usually do that before the start of a recording or tour. The Mexican militia will always be rehearsing, even when I’m not around and likewise, it’s the same for me when I’m in Singapore. We are independently writing and rehearsing most of the time communicating regularly by msn, phone or emails. I can understand Spanish but I can’t speak it fluently. Antimo, Oscar and Eduardo speak English well and communication is never a problem. Anyway, I’m learning more Spanish these days…

Necromaniac:

The last two records were more US-Old School Death Metal influenced. For my ears the sound is a mixture of old MORBID ANGEL, ANGEL CORPSE, POSSESSED, DIABOLIC and so on. Compared to the first two recordings much more intensive, faster and without Thrash Metal influences (compared to “Skullfucking Armageddon”). How would you see your own musical development?

Impiety:

IMPIETY has always been playing what borders the extreme death and black metal genre for the past 15 years now. And with every new release, the level of intensity rises to new heights, usually due to the progression in song writing and tight execution. I have been in charge of most of the song writing and I just follow what’s in my heart. The result is such. Progression is inevitable, but IMPIETY has always been keeping close on track to what it sets out to achieve…clearly only the ultimate in chaos, destruction and desecration prevails! From here on, drown your soul in eternal hellfire and just expect the unexpected from us!

Necromaniac:

The last album “Kaos Kommand 696” was released through French Osmose Productions. With your current album you changed back to an underground label. How did you come in contact with Agonia Productions and why did you leave Herve from Osmose?

Impiety:

It was good being on Osmose in the beginning but then our relations turned sour due to various reasons. First it was the problem of touring, which before the signing of the deal, Herve promised us to get us contracted with Metalysee or any independent, reliable tour agency. But it seemed throughout the first year itself, he began giving us a string of excuses saying that it was expensive to tour and ‘better to just sit back home and earn (royalties) from recording albums’. IMPIETY has always been a band built and armoured for the road … and the stage is like the primary battlefield to the band! I and the ex-members got really frustrated waiting and waiting  for nothing and just getting lame excuses and replies. Secondly, when the album came out, their promotion office did a ‘good’ job sending a load of interviews at once, but all without deadlines and pressuring me to drop smaller zines and focus on only important and bigger magazines. That is something I would not do. I’d never say no to any magazine big or small for that matter, even in my busiest times. And after I had finished certain interviews, their promotion office would say it was rejected because time was up and the magazine had to go for press. It’s really bullshit working without a proper schedule or deadlines! It’s common sense that when you accept an interview, you also arrange the deadline. So in the end, I lost all mood to go further and totally gave up on over 60 interviews I had left. Thirdly, it was Herve who came to me saying he was facing problems with the French Authorities regarding ‘Kaos Kommand 696’ lyrics and the ‘fuck off and die’ list which was more or less very anti-semitic. He told me the future press of ‘Kaos Kommand 696’ had to be censored. That is something I can’t figure till today cause as we all know it, Osmose has long supported extreme music and why being anti-christian and anti-islamic seemed so perfect, but not anti-semitic/anti-jewish? Clearly it was Herve’s fault for not having checked the text for the lyrics and layouts before press time. So as you can see, all of these had taken its toll on our relations and I felt I couldn’t work with them much longer. I then asked immediately for a breach of contract to be signed and I am glad that got done without much hassle at all. We signed to Agonia early 2004 and so far it has been good working with Filip. In fact, we got a much better deal now than before with Osmose!

Necromaniac:

Some time ago I bought your split-CD with SURRENDER OF DIVINITY. How did you come in contact with these maniacs and who had the idea for the split-CD? Or was this offer simply proposed by the label? By the way, will the split-CD and “Paramont Evil” be available on vinyl sooner or later?

Impiety:

I’ve known SURRENDER OF DIVINITY since 1999 ... the days of “Skullfucking Armageddon”! I had received their demo from Whathayakorn and was really impressed with everything about this band. Whathayakorn and I became really close and good warbrothers over the years and both of us decided to put out a release together! Thus, ‘Two Majesties: An Arrogant Alliance of Satan’s Extreme Elite’ came to existence late 2004! IMPIETY was given the freedom on Agonia Records to release singles on other labels and so it was decided by both IMPIETY and SOD to have it released on Unholy Horde Records, USA which is run by Peter Drozd, webmaster for both our web sites. The CD and Gatefold 7” EP are limited to 500 units each. The CD version is sold out now but the Split 7” Gatefold EP has been delayed and in just one week from now it will be officially out! The “Paramount Evil” LP and PICDISC will be released by Agonia Records this February ... so look out for that too! LP limited to 500 and PICDISC limited to a fucking 100!

Necromaniac:

Costa from Iron Pegasus Records told me that on your last European tour you were very much into Dutch whores (haha)? Hope your hunger is still hot for some real European megawhores, cause we can´t wait to see you guys back in Germany!! Is there a chance to see you live this year, if I pay some of your rides on syphilis cunts (haha)?

Impiety:

Haha …Costa calls me The King of Red Lights! So that name explains I guess. Haha. In 2000 when IMPIETY did two tours over Europe the kommanders ravished and ravaged the sacred whores of Amsterdam! Great that you’ll get us some whores, but if they are diseased, I guess Antimo will like that a lot!

Necromaniac:

OK Shyaithan, due to the tour stress you asked me not to write you more than ten questions. Honestly said, I have at least twenty more, but if you give me some short comments on the following bands I guess I’ll be satisfied for now. Thanx a fucking lot! Here we go:

Impiety:

SHUB NIGGURATH
Legendary Mexican Fathers of Black Death Metal! ‘Horror Creatures’ is an amazing and cult demo! Ex-members of TORMENTOR! ‘Evilness and Darkness Prevails’ is their ultimate album sacrifice every demon needs to have!

DISGORGE (MEX)
Antimo was from this band on bass/vocals…DISGORGE is legendary too! And all I can say is their latest offering ‘Necroholocaust’ is one fucking twisted and sick piece of metal art!! The Mexican DISGORGE is the real one!!!

PENTACLE
We had the privilege to play with PENTACLE in the summer of 2000 in Belgium! Wannes is a truly dedicated Son of Satan and diehard metal demon! Speaking about this unholy Dutch band, I can only say they are made up of really great warriors!! I still have their first demo ‘Winds of the Fall’, ‘The fifth Moon’ CD, ‘…Rides the Moonstorm’ DLP and also the split EP with DESASTER in my collection! Killer Death Metal played the old and unholy way!

ARMOURED ANGEL (AUS)
Thrash til Death!! ‘Wings of Death’ demo released in 1988 was amazing! Aussie pioneers of death thrash metal mayhem!! Their ‘Angel of the Sixth Order’ album in 1999 is no less cult than their earlier releases!!

EXPULSER (BRA)
I was in touch with them a long time ago, in 1989, and still have their ‘Christ Saga’ demo tape!! Personally, I love the demo more than their debut LP but what the hell, both are significant soul raping releases for me! Ugly and perverse black fucking death metal from Brazil!!

FUNERAL NATION (US)
I like a lot their ‘State of Insanity’ demo! Killer death thrash metal from Chicago with ex-ABOMINATION and FUNERAL BITCH members!

PESTILENCE (NL)
Dutch Masters of Death! Both albums ‘Consuming Impulse’ and ‘Malleus Maleficarum’ are still very much played at top volume by me!!

POISON (GER):
Into the fucking’ abyss!! Cult as fuck and godly demo pressed on LP by Midian Creations many years back! Also I have got a trade copy of their first demo ‘Sons of Evil’ and ‘Black Death’ ’85 demos! I wish this band as well as VIOLENT FORCE was still alive to cause more severe damage and cracks in my skull!
