Necromaniac:

Hi Dobber! What´s going on in Texas? Gratulation to „Salvation through infinite suffering“. Is it your first release? Some previous stuff that i have to know?

Infernal Dominion:

Thank you and yes this is our first album. We only previously had a one song promo, other than that nothing else. We are actually planning on releasing a mini-cd this coming year that will include this promo, 3 new tracks, and a Scattered Remnants cover. It should be available this January.

Necromaniac:

I know it´s fucking boring, but i know a shit about you and the most readers here in germany also. So please feel free and tel me something about your history ok?

Infernal Dominion:

We all came together out of our former bands to create totally evil brutal death metal. The band is about 2 and half years old but has years of experience in this kind of music. We have every intention of creating the most uncomfortable and brutally evil death metal we can, mixing all styles of extreme music.

Necromaniac:

Is someone of you involved in other Bands or Projects? Did you played in the past in another Band ?

Infernal Dominion:

We are comprised of the two former guitar players (Wes Weaver and Jim Case) from Imprecation, myself who is the former drummer for Viral Load, Steven Whatkins of Malthusia/Sect of Execration on vocals, and Chance Allen of Apacolypse9 on bass. All though a new band, we have all been around and have quite the same goals musically.

Necromaniac:

I am very interested about your lyrics, but the guy who did the layout has no idea about a printingproces. You can´t print Black write on Black/grey background, the same problem like on the Prophecy CD. What went wrong with that? I think you are in a dark antichristian lyric style right?

Infernal Dominion:

The problem with the first pressing is that the proof rights were waved so the album could be rushed to the Ohio Death Fest. On top of that the album didn’t even make it, so it was all for nothing. You are right about the lyrics though. They are anti-god of any kind. If you would like to read them you can find them at WWW.INFERNALDOMINION.NET

Necromaniac:

Texas has many underground Death Metal Bands like: Devourment, Prophecy, Sintury, Viral Load, Crucifixion, Putrilage, Embodyment, Absu........How is the underground situation in your area? Do you play often live?

Infernal Dominion:

We play out pretty often, but not primarily in Houston. We get out a lot and will even be touring the States in january with Regurgitation and Morgue. Our scene is very good here, we have a lot of great bands in and around Houston. Lots of good bands in south Texas like Severance, Scarebeus, and Slow Grind. Lots of blazing death metal coming out. Every one is hearing all of the fast bands coming out and wanting to get more intense.

Necromaniac:

When i listen to your music i feel you have many in common with Dark and evil old school Death Metal Bands like Sadistic Intent, Vital Remains, Incantation.....you know which way i mean... Would you agree? How would you describe your musicstyle?

Infernal Dominion:

We do have a lot in common but not to be mistaken as an old school sound. We have as much in common with those bands as we do new bands. I would best describe us as a mixture of all. From Incantation to Cryptopsy, we try to cover all aspects from all out speed to brutal pit breakdowns. The biggest focus beyond all of that is the songwriting itself. We spend a great deal of time writing and making sure the songs have individuality. Our music does not cover the same ground as everyone else but maintains common ground with everything.

Necromaniac:

The Cover was done by Jon Zig a Tatooartist from Texas. He did many Covers for Texian Bands (Not only), was the Cover done about your impressions? Or has Jon a Backkatalouge and you found this pic and thought hey thats it?

Infernal Dominion:

Jon pretty much paints originals for every band. From my understanding he really likes to paint evil pieces of art. So who better to get than an artist who has an understanding for our style. The guy is a genius not only in painting and airbrushing but also as a tattoo artist. We got in touch with him told him our ideas and let him render his own painting out of that.

Necromaniac:

Please introduce the persons behind Infernal Dominion, what kind of people you are and what are you doing apart from hanging out, smokeing weed, Fuck some sluts and listen to good Death Metal? In which age are you?

Infernal Dominion:

Infernal Dominion is made up of some extreme, alchahol drinking, and partying motherfuckers. For the most we are all big guys. We are an exercise on anyones self-esteem. In the most respectful way though. Not a lot of drug use, but we like a lot of sluts. Like to take them out by the dumpsters behind the club after a show. Spray coconut oil on there faces our where ever they would like it. Just your average big Texas satanic metal heads.

Necromaniac:

Are you satisfied with Corpse Gristle Records? Hope Hound did a good job for you, sometimes he is a little bit slow and lazy(but that is my personell experience and i am living oversea) I am sure you are satisfied with him or not?

Infernal Dominion:

We are satisfied with Hound. He does get bogged down with shit sometimes, but that is to be expected. He doesn’t run a label to pay the bills. He does it as a hobby, a way to help out friends and good Texas bands in general. Some people are impatient, which is understandable. We are happy and until we get a better deal we are intent with staying with TXDM Underground (former CorpseGristle).

Necromaniac:

Ok Dobber that all first, please add what is importent and what i forget to ask! Haha Thank

Infernal Dominion:

Thanks for the interview and find our album and buy it if you are a fan of well written and well played brutal death metal. Thanks a lot.
